What happened to the beautiful Christmas tree that we cut down with our very own hands? Well, it came down around New Year's Day and Erin's mom came up with the brilliant idea to leave it outside in the elements so we didn't have to say goodbye. Now it's sitting in the tree stand off to the side of our porch where we use it as a weather prediction system. In this shot, you can see that it is covered with ice, so we knew to expect icy conditions. Today it's covered in snow, so I'm imagining it snowed a bit last night. It's better than the Weather Channel. :)
